A New Creative Chapter: Doodling Dreams - The Doodle Diary

A doodle learning book by Sijin Gopinathan and Kavya Abhiram, launching 27 February 2027.

For Dubai-based international doodle artist Sijin Gopinathan, creating a book that helps people learn to doodle has been a long-held ambition. Following the wonderful response to Doodling Dreams, that ambition is taking shape in a new book: Doodling Dreams: The Doodle Diary.

Created with artist and art tutor Kavya Abhiram, the book brings together Sijin’s experience as a practising artist and Kavya’s passion for inclusive art education. Her work supporting children with additional learning needs and exploring new teaching methods brings a thoughtful perspective to the collaboration.

From a Single Line to Your Own Creative Style

The Doodle Diary is being developed for people who love doodle art and want to create their own, including beginners unsure where to start.

It invites readers of every age to explore lines, shapes and patterns, build confidence and gradually discover their own creative style. At its heart is a simple belief: creativity can begin with the willingness to put pen to paper and see where a line leads.

A Creative Pause in a Busy Day

Alongside learning to draw, the book encourages readers to make space for creativity in everyday life. For students, working professionals, parents and anyone with a busy routine, doodling can offer a few quiet moments to explore an idea and enjoy making something by hand.

“This is something I’ve wanted to create for a long time—a learning book for people who love doodles and want to start drawing their own. Working with Kavya brings together our experiences in art and teaching to help readers take that first step,” says Sijin.
